Will history nickname the period in the U.S. from 1981 to 2008 the Republican Supply-side Disaster Era?

Yes, I am including Clinton in this era since he conceded to conservative ideology and repealed Glass-Steagall, although he should have known better.

Why in gods name would you give credit to Republicans to the only president in that era that actually got the economy running without leveraging the debt of our children to get there.

Reagan became president right when the economy was beginning to recover and the Republicans follow his economics like the pied piper leading rats off the cliff. What could have been a debt free recovery was instead a tripling of our national debt. Half of the crap he gets credit for happened within the 1st month he took office (hardly a result of reagan policy)

What would you then call 2008 to 2012? The Democrat Borrow for Free Era?

Reagan was the one that pulled the teeth out of Glass-Steagall...and honestly it was not written with modern electronic trading in mind.

Dod Frank begins to broach the subject of major firms using super computers in market making and proprietary trading, but...it is apparently communist to try and monitor the massive virtual shadow markets that the major financial intuitions build in model economic warfare.
