Video games to live a better life?
I've realized recently, that my boyfriend uses video games to escape reality. Now, when he has something to do, he stresses over it to no end.
When school starts again in the Fall, I know he's going to be a really angry person. So for the summer, I've just tried to let him relax and have a careless atmosphere.
That includes video games almost 24/7.
Now, don't get me wrong. I love video games. I play them quite often myself. But he told me that he's using the games to create an "alternate reality"... so he doesn't have to deal the stress of real life.
I don't think this is necessarily a bad thing. I wouldn't mind him doing this to occasionally relax.
But I've realized that he's TOO into creating a different world. He's miserable in the real one.
So my question:
How can I make him feel more relaxed with his life, so he doesn't feel the need to "escape" as often? This habit takes all of his waking day... from 10am to 3am the next day. Constant.
How can I make him happier in his every day life? I hate seeing him so upset.
