My friend Ashley told me this morning that her boyfriend told her he can "smell" when she's having her period. Personally, I always thought that there was a certain 'scent' to a woman's period. But he seems to have some sort of problem with it.
Is it NOT normal to have a certain scent during your period?

I've always thought mine had a smell, but hoped no one else could smell it. Maybe hers are really heavy, so theres more blood, and it smells more? Or maybe he is just really grossed out and bothered by the idea of periods...guys probably don't like to think about it lol.
Its perfectly normal as the womans blood from a period is just cleansing all the body's unwanted things. think of it as a body wash. if she is not dieting healthy and not drinking enough water it is strongly a cause for odorous periods. Women need lots and lots of water. Good luck.
Periods dont have any odor when inside your body. But as soon as they hit fresh air "BOOM"! They smell. (they break down in oxygen). No offence but ashly's boyfriend should know that we are not perfect and that "smell" is not our fault. So if he has a problem then, thats his problem isnt it!
