My husband and I are trying to get pregnant. We have been trying for about 3-4 months now. How long does it usually take to get pregnant? It seems like when you aren't trying people get pregnant but when they are they don't. We are getting little frustrated and tips or advice? I have been taking prenatals like my gyno told me. Thanks.

Depends on age, your health etc. Usually around 90% of couples conceive within the first year of actively trying. There are ovulation tests on market that can pin point when exactly you are fertile. I tried all this before at age 25 over around a 4 mth period and nothing happened. What I'm saying is just be patient and relax. Good luck.

I understand your fustration trying to get pregnant, my dear. Me and my husband tried for over 6 months to get pregnant. Trying different drugs the doctors had us try and having sex day after day when it came time for me to ovulate. it depends on your husbands sperm and on your fertility. keep track of your cycle and when you ovulate, have sex that day and the 5 days before that because sperm lives for up to 5 days and when you ovulate you are more likely to get pregnant. if you have a normal period cycle you usually ovulate half way through your cycle for example if you have the 28 day cycle your ovulation day will be day 14. your cycle starts the day you get your period until the day you get your next one. also after you have sex just lay there for about 10 to 15 minutes. it is supposed to help the sperm move to where it needs to go rather than you moving around.
