Question to all other earlobe stretchers...?

Currently I'm at 1 1/8 inch. I never change my plugs or take them out unless I'm sizing up.
I've had this size for about 3 months, my question is....

When (if ever) can you take the plugs out and leave them out for a while without worrying about the lobes closing a bit?

they'd get tighter. but you could put back your plugs or whatever back in nearly no problem.
