Considering a gym membership. I want to lose weight and gain muscle.?

Im 6'4 270lbs, I want to lose about 50 lbs when its all said and done and would like to gain alot of muscle, mostly on my arms. They have a 24 hour gym near me that I am considering joining since I dont get out of work til late. I know I need supplements and shakes and all that stuff, however I dont have the slightest clue on what to look for or anything like that. Someone please help me out and I'm not lookin for sarcastic answers on here.

24 hour fitness is great! My suggestion is to find a personal trainer. I am a certified ACSM personal trainer that works at a 24 hour. Diet/nutrition/weight management/exercise routines are a long and complicated process and a personal trainer would be exactly what you need.
But joining the gym is the first step, and it has so many benefits beyond just the physical aspect. Mentally you gain so much when you get healthy and it feels great. Anyway, I will stop ranting, but my point is 24 hour is great, personal trainers can help a bunch, and you can do it!

Ya man, definately pick up a whey protien supplement for starters, then when you start working out maybe like 2 weeks in add aime creatine. Both supplements are fairly cheap. Check this out http://m.youtube.com/?reload=7&rdm=m7f5aktv#/watch?v=hzfsaXsV-T4
From experience this diet works great for building lean muscle. Check out some of their other videos too they have some great tips good luck

You shouldn't work just one part of your body... You should eat clean and invest in wheybolic which is in GNC also get vita packs with a test booster. Get creatine and amino acids. If you work late you should always make sure you get atleast your 8hrs
