Outlook Express was replaced by Windows Mail in Windows Vista, but with the release of Windows 7 even that has disappeared, along with Windows Messenger and a few other items.
The official replacements are all now part of Windows Live. For Windows Mail, you can now download its replacement, the free Windows Live Mail : http://windows.microsoft.com/en-US/windows-live/essentials-other-programs

Personally I found almost all of them "quirkish", difficult to configure, advertisements, etc so I just went with MS Office 2010 Outlook, but if you don't already have it, it's too pricey to obtain, then you're stuck with Windows Live Mail - MS is even changing Hotmail to a new format, using the 'Outlook' name as the client and domain name, replacing the _____@hotmail.com with _____@outlook.com : http://www.outlook.com
