I have an iPhone 4 and need a new case. I know OtterBox is supposed to be really good, but I'm trying to decide if - I really need that much protection? (I'm not THAT hard on my iPhone, but all it takes dropping it the wrong way one time...) - Should I sink $50 into a case now since I'll probably upgrade to the iPhone 5 next spring (when my contract is up) - Should I risk buying an OtterBox from Amazon? About half the price, but I'm thinking maybe you get what you pay for?

It truly is worth the money. My friend dropped her iphone and her iphone had an otterbox and when she dropped it, nothing happened. at all. It's worth the money. it costs moreto repair your dropped screen than paying ONCE for an otterbox.
I had an OtterBox defender for my historic iPod and it labored quality i dropped it a couple of times and nothing happened to the iPod. However when I obtained an iPhone 4S I determined to head with the OtterBox commuter. It can be one step down from the defender however I individually suppose it really works just as we are going to. I've dropped my mobile with the commuter and had no problems. It can be about 20$ more cost-effective and the only differences really are that there is not any developed in reveal protecter. If you're planning on upgrading soon i'd advocate the OtterBox commuter due to the fact it does practically the equal factor for 20$ much less. :)
I had an OtterBox defender for my old iPod and it worked great i dropped it multiple times and nothing happened to the iPod. But when I got an iPhone 4S I decided to go with the OtterBox commuter. It's one step down from the defender but I personally think it works just as we'll. I've dropped my phone with the commuter and had no problems. It's about 20$ cheaper and the only differences really are that there is no built in screen protecter. If you're planning on upgrading soon I would recommend the OtterBox commuter since it does practically the same thing for 20$ less. :)
