The way I see the elimination of Bin Laden is that Obama simply never rescinded GWB's standing orders.
Am I somehow in error? From the accounts I read, it seems Obama didn't meddle with GWB's original plan.
So isn't it galling he takes the credit, barely mentioning all the people who spent countless hours working on the task?

A better question might be how can he take credit for it when he had to be asked on four different occasions and only after being goaded into it gave the go ahead for the SEALs to do the job, maybe he was thinking if he delayed it long enough bin laden would disappear again like when clinton refused to give permission to kill him when the CIA and SF had him in their gun sights YEARS earlier.

Liberals are you crazy? You relatively make me sick. I'm a disabled vet and lots of of my buddies were killed to find and kill OBL. And you sit there and say Obama did it. Considering the fact that Obama did this by himself, once I go by way of there graves at arlington, i will make an apology the liberals say the man that did not want you there and was in a bed with a thousand ct sheets sleeping when it happened truly did it all. However really the most any individual can say proper or now not, is that Obama authorized the navy to cont their mission. So the great thing is he mentioned adequate. What was he consider to do, say "No i do not suppose you will have to get OBL" For liberals to say that saying good enough is such a momentous social gathering, they must love Bush. D. Its humorous when you consider that conservatives supply examples and just reasons why credit score mostly belongs with the army and army alone. However liberals say, as average, Obama gets credit for the whole lot and conservatives are evil and will not provide credit score for _________. They not ever say info or justification. I would really like to have a realistic and rational conversation with liberals to realise their thinking however the don't use details. They don't talk numbers or use intellect. Bush was not around to give the order to kill or capture bin Laden.
Bush couldnt find bin Laden in 8 years of looking.
The President actually didnt take any credit for it if you heard his announcement but he was the one to make the call.

George Bush stopped looking for Bin Laden two years after 9/11, look it up. Obama re-initiated the search. That's how Obama can take credit for him.

Bush's plan was to dissolve the special agency charged with finding bin Laden. Obama revived that agency and pushed them to find the terrorist. Bush wasn't all that concerned with him anymore.
Obama did, in fact, order the specific mission. Of course the Navy Seals get most of the credit, but I would bet anyone that if the mission had gone south, the right wing media would be giving Obama all the blame.
