How to make Yahoo mail NOT reveal my full name?

When ever I write an email from my yahoo mail, my full name is written in the "from" tab - and I can't change it! I've changed my name in the account setting, hoping it would not show, but it still does - I can't find any settings to change it :o It is a big problem, because I have a rare last name, so if someone knows my last name, they can actually find out exactly where I live, and all sorts of stuff about me. So I basically can't use my email for anything but to email relatives and close friends?!

You can change the FROM name and the REPLY TO address on the "Accounts" page. The FROM name can't be blank but you can change it to anything including the email address itself.

Click "options ↬ mail options ↬ Mail Accounts" in left column.

Click "Yahoo! Mail" in the left column.

You can change the name or reply to address there.

Try this:Click options above your mail box to the right. Scroll down and click General preferences. Make your changes click save at the bottom.
