Stopping Political Phone Calls?
Yes, I'm an independent voter in a swing state. No, I don't want to answer 4 surveys a day. No, I don't want to listen to another dozen recorded messages from the campaign or from the candidate. No, I'm not donating money to you. No, I don't want to leave what I'm doing to answer the phone only to find it's another request for money, another survey, another recording. No, I don't want to banter with a person supporting a candidate. No, no, no.
Is there any way to get these guys to leave me alone? A political do not call list? Anything?
Alas, I get customers calling on my phone so I can't block unknown callers and I can't not answer. I also have an elderly and ailing parent, so I always answer.
Freedom of speech? It's not free for me; I pay for it. In time, in minutes, in aggravation. In loss of privacy and my time and energy.
I'm on the do-not-call list - shouldn't that at least stop the commercial surveys asking for my opinion so they can profit?
