Best car for a 17 year old?

Dont just say bmw or mustang and be done with ur answer, i wanna explanation too =P Also please dont be a d**k head about it and say something like "just get a honda" i hate hondas dont ask why. Also i will never buy a FWD ShitO'matic transmission car, RWD and AWD manual only. Also i like the 0-60 time to be 6.5 sec or less. The 2 main cars im looking at are the Mustang GT (99-04) and the bmw 330i (99-06) Both the same price, around the same km, same condition, same power to weight ratio. What do you think is better? Any other cars i should consider? (must have at least 215hp im not modding it so id rather buy a quick car and have a quick car rather than buy a slow car and modd it to make it quick)

I know im picky but i love cars and im just getting others opinion. Remember no d**k heads saying just get something slow and reliable that ill hate. Also RWD or AWD and MANUAL transmission only.

i also like the is300 (2001-2005) i found one with 115k km (low) with manual and it comes stock with 215hp and weighs around the same as the 330i so its got nearly the same performance. Also its got the 2jz engine that makes a nice sound for a 6 cyl.

I have saved up extra money for repairs and insurance so Im purely looking at the cars. I have had lots of driving experience as my dad taught me how to drive in my moms explorer (suv) and then i got to take a spin in my brothers mustang GT (manual) Also i have a dirt bike that accelerates faster then my buddies 89 supra turbo (witch i also got to drive). Also i have had an atv in the past that i have taken on to miles of sandy/slippery trails at high speed and have had fun drifting it around a corner. Ive also backed up a big and trailers into a tight spaces. Also I have came from a family full of car lovers and they have skill behind the wheel and none of them have had an accident where they were at fault. So car/vehicle control is NOT a problem for me, RWD cars are more fun (taking it to drifting tracks NOT on public rodes, im not that stupid). Now Please only answers telling witch car is better and why and other cars you suggest.

If you have no driving experience, neither car is a best pick.

Let me explain why most people recommend front-wheel drive cars for new drivers. Rear wheel drive, while it is a better platform for performance, is difficult to learn to control when you have very little experience behind the wheel. FWD biases towards understeer in a skid or in wet weather, which is more predictable when you try to correct it.

The only real problem with FWD is torque steer, which is why few good serious performance cars are FWD. Sport compacts like the Nissan SE-R and Focus SVT are the exception, and they're fun to drive in their own way.

If you want a RWD manual car, more power to you. But please, drop the attitude towards Hondas and/or FWD drivetrains. If you were my kid and you posted something like that, your computer or phone privileges would be suspended. My advice: Unless you have the money to fix the BMW when it inevitably has a problem with the VANOS system or cooling system, don't even consider it. The Mustang GT, if you can afford the insurance, will have plenty of power, decent visibility, and has a pretty decent trunk. Rear passenger space is awful compared to the BMW, but it is a smaller car.

FWD manual, compact car, that's what you need as a first car.
Older VW Golf or other similar.

That is because it will be cheap to keep, easy to fix and good to learn the rules of the road as well as car control and limits. It will be roomy for transporting but still economical to drive.

If you get a RWD or AWD, it won't be a car, it will be a toy!
AWD will be more expensive, to buy and to keep, so RWD then.
Don't buy second hand BMW, they are more often than not, all used up already. Mustangs, as far as I know, aren't good cars to live with every day.

I my self have Supra 3l turbo, and a Corsa 1l. Guess which one I use every day, and which is a toy.
So, for a first car, get something sensible.

If you are paying for insurance don't get a Mustang or a bmw 330i. These cars insurance rates are extremely high for teens and don't have the best safety ratings. Also you are not going to be able to find a nice Mustang or Beemer for 10,000 dollars.
