I found 'Felaway" (spelling?) for cats?

A while ago I had asked for some advice on travelling a long distance (2400 MILES) with a cat. I was given lots of great tips. In my research I found a product containing a pheromone which calms cats. It seemed to work! I sprayed a wee bit in his carrier and in the car about 20 minutes before putting him into the carrier, and sprayed it in the motel room as I travelled. I placed him in his carrier in the bathroom, put his food and litter in there too whenever I got to a motel (after spraying a bit of this "Felaway" pheromone spray. It seemed to work great! I wanted to thank everyone for their responses to my questions. It all worked out well, and we arrived in Virginia (from Alberta Canada!) to spend a warmer winter. THANK YOU ALL!

I'm glad to hear that Feliway worked so well for your cat. It's a much safer alternative to sedatives when travelling with pets and they find the scent really soothing.

It can also be used to discourage cats from scratching furniture etc. (Feliway mimics the scent from their facial glands and cats will rarely scratch anywhere they rub their face up against.)

I understand it is tough- however the average time to really panic about any lacking cat is when the time of it being lacking is pushing two weeks. It's excellent to determine with your nearby shelters and speak to your neighbors. (they will have adopted the 'lost' cat and haven't any thought) a different factor is idk when you received that chip put into your cat? My pal had a chip put into her cat and forgot all about calling the number to find the cat reason she panicked so much she forgot. Probabilities are your cat is simply out exploring and will come residence when he/she is excellent and able. When (if) the cat goes lacking for a week you could put up posters with a small reward. Hope you in finding your kitty quickly :)

Your question might get bounced, since you are only providing your solution, and not asking a question. Feliway can be useful spraying the inside of the carrier to alleviate stress in transporting.

I am glad it worked for you.
