What the hell is this car part called? For the love of god, I can't find it anywhere.?
I have an 2000 Infiniti G20 automatic. The little plastic cover on the shifter that folds in when you shift up and down broke. What is it called so I can replace it.

It's called an Indicator assembly if it's an automatic transmission. About $70.
That will be a pretty difficult piece to find any place but at the dealers. It is not part of the Bezel as such and is not provided with that part when bought from the dealer. Now a replacement shifter that has this part is about 50 dollars at a salvage yard. Which might be the best bet. Unless you want to take yours apart and fabricate something to work using plastic sheets from a good model supply store.
Probably something like "shift gate cover" or "shift lever dust cover" . . . .
Whatever, you'll have to order it from an Infiniti dealer who will pull-up an illustration on their system to identify and get part number . . . . but I wouldn't be surprised if you have to buy the whole housing rather than just the little cover.
