Does Army Infantry have it easier than Marine Corps Infantry?

I was told that the Marines have it way harder in Infantry is this true?

On my last tour to Afghanistan I lived for the last 6 months in a small compound with no mess hall, no real showers (but water shortages were plentiful), and weeks without internet. I roughed that out as a Soldier, but before I became a Soldier I became a Marine, so I know both sides of the fence. I mean no disrespect, but your son is full of crap, he is going to tell you his biased opinion because Marines have it drilled into their heads from day 1 that all other branches are inferior. Truth of the matter is there no real way to compare the apple to the orange, but I will say this: the Army controls all regional commands except for the south where the Marines operate, so where a Soldier may be placed can correlate with the intensity of their tour.

BTW I work with Air Force JTACs and they were just as much in the "suck-fest" as I was, not all Airmen have it as easy as you may think

U.S. Marines fighting in Afghanistan have a much tougher job than Army or Air Force! Combat Marines often go 6-8 weeks withput a mess hall, showers, internet. Anyone in the combat zone is in danger, true, but they have a very rough living situation.

The Marines are fighting the same war as the Army? So no.

not really, anybody who has a job in the marine corps that matches with a job in the army does the same thing. pretty much they suffer mor in training just to do the same job a soldier does in the army. it doesnt necessarily make them better either, my sergeant was with his unit in baghdad in an area called sadr city, they patrolled kept everything under control no problems, they handed it over to the marines and 4 of them get killed

In combat...nothing is easy. Doesn't matter which branch.
