I cant decide between the kindle fire or the nook. Which is better? i heard the nook is lacking in the app department. Does the kindle fire have a lot more?

For those, it is really about Amazon vs B&N store. They are both mostly provider restricted Tablet Lite, but the Nook a bit more flexible, the Kindle with a better store. You want either if your goal is using their content sources.
If you want apps, you likely want full table such as a Nexus, or even iPad.
Well it depends on what you will use it for. The Nook is mostly for reading and the screen has no glare wich is pretty cool. But if you want something more like a mainstream tablet then i would get the Kindle. If you are looking for one under $200 Amazon is selling them refurbished for $150.
