It depends on who's in goal and who made the shot. I can tell you this, it wasn't taken by an NHL player this year.

Well theres a few ways to do this, I find that the easiest to understand way is to find out how many feet it travels in a unit of that time and then simply multiply it by 10 to get the actual

If the puck travels 89 feet in 0.8s, then it travels 11.125 feet in 0.1s

Multiplying by 10 will give you 111.25 feet in 1 second.3

Another way to do this (much faster way) is to use proportions

89 feet/0.8s = x feet/1second

cross multiplying gives me x = 89/0.8s which will again give you 111.25 feet.

Divide both numbers by 8 to get the average speed of the puck per 0.1 seconds.

0.1 = 11.125

Now multiply by 10 to get the average speed of the puck per second.

1 = 111.25

The average speed of the puck is 111.25 feet per second.

I hope that helps!

Just divide 89 by .8 and you get 111.25 feet per second. Cheers!

first make an equation: 0.8s=89
s being the seconds & variable.
so...
0.8s=89
s=111.25 ft per second.

hope i helped. (:
