Why can't I use anything on my Yahoo Home Page?

I'm using Internet Explorer 8. The home page comes up, but when I click on any item, it won't open. Right now I am on Yahoo Answers by going through Google. Google Chrome works fine and I can pull up anything on my iGoogle home page.

Can't even use the search bar on Yahoo. This just started yesterday afternoon. Thought it might be IE8 not working, but I ran the test and it said no problem found. Yesterday Microsoft put in 14 important updates and Adobe also updated. Could that be the problem? McAfee just did a several hours scan but found no malware. Also ran an MRT scan - no malicious software. Could it be something in the updates?

I am not at all computer savvy and at a loss as to what happened to my Yahoo page and how to fix it. The thing is I click on my Yahoo page (through IE8), it comes right up, but I can no longer read anything on it. (I go to an article, a line appears under it, as usual, click on it, but nothing opens.)
Same thing with list of sites on left side of page - they won't open - nothing works on Yahoo page.

Sorry this is so long, but I've been working on it all day and have run out of ideas how to get Yahoo back to normal. I will appreciate any suggestions you have. (Obviously I'll have to go into Google to see if I got any answers.) So frustrated!

Hi Sunset,

I would suggest you to check if the issue persist in No add-ons mode. To open Internet Explorer without add-ons, click on Start > All Programs > Accessories > System Tools, and click Internet Explorer (No Add-ons).
If disabling all add-ons resolves the issue, disable all add-ons and then turn on add-ons only as you need them. For more information on add-ons you may refer to the link below:

You may also upgrade to a newer version of Internet Explorer. Refer to the link below:

Also, reset Internet Explorer to default settings. Follow the steps below:
1. Close all Internet Explorer windows that are currently open.
2. Open a new Internet Explorer window.
3. Click on Tools and then click Internet Options.
4. Click the Advanced tab, and then click Reset.
Select the Delete personal settings check box if you would also like to remove browsing history, search providers, Accelerators, home pages, Tracking Protection, and ActiveX Filtering data.
5. Click Reset in the Reset Internet Explorer Settings dialog box.
6. Click Close once Internet Explorer has finished applying default settings and then click Ok.
7. Restart Internet explorer. Click Ok.

Hope this helps.

Thanks and Regards
