What can I catch in Ft Myers from shore in January?

I will be down in the Ft Myers / Sanibel / Lovers Key area - the southern Gulf side of Florida next week (Jan 16-23).

What might be biting, that could be reached from shore? I'll have a couple bait rods for my kids and a fly rod. Previous time we were down was in December, and the bigger fish were further off shore, but we caught a bunch of grunts and pinfish. Anything else that might be catchable from anywhere you can access by shore in January?

blue fish -spanish macks,, sand perch, wow ya name it that's a great fishing spot to go to and the snook,, but cant keep them and the west coast mullet !!!
