I used to live in Ft. Myers and i never heard of it.

I'm not sure, but I do know that less than 5 miles down the road from where I live there I a Manatee Park where you can look over and see them in the water. There is also a Manitee dock about 3miles down inTice(Florida) where you con ride on boats to see them.
