I know the main axis powers and allies but there are some small ones that I have to know for history and I have no idea because its not in the book. Please just clarify(:

-Austria: It was annexed by Nazi Germany in 1938 (known as "Anschluss"), and only regained sovereignty in 1955.
-Bulgaria: Nominally one of the Axis powers for most of the war, Bulgaria was not a particularly dependable ally of Nazi Germany and refused to deport its Jewish population when pressured by Hitler. Tsar Boris III was more concerned with the safety of his nation than the war effort.
-Greece: Italy invaded during the autumn season of 1940, but were forced back out in April 1941. Then the Germans came in through Bulgaria and Axis-occupied Yugoslavia, conquering the place within a short period of time. Greece ousted the Axis powers a few years later, but not before losing 400,000+ civilians and the vast majority of its Jewish population.
-Albania: It was a protectorate of Italy well before the outbreak of World War II. In 1943 it fell out of Italian hands, but the Germans retook in shortly thereafter.
-Turkey: Allied forces tried to persuade Turkey into joining the war effort, but they remained neutral until 1945 when they declared war on Germany and Japan as a symbolic show of support for the downfall of the two regimes.
-Syria: A territory under the jurisdiction of the French, they were governed by Vichy France from 1940-1941.
-Iraq: Aligned with the Axis powers based on mutual interests in dismantling Britain's world influence. The Anglo-Iraqi War in 1941 led to the downfall of the regime and the reestablishment of British hegemony.
-Transjordan: A British protectorate.
-Palestine: A British protectorate.
-Libya: Part of the Italian Empire until being lost to the British in 1943.
-Tunisia: Initially began as a subject of Vichy France, but was conquered by Allied forces in 1943.
-Algeria: As with Tunisia, Algeria was a subject of Vichy France, but it was later captured by Allied forces in 1942.
-New Guinea: In the east it was run by Australia, while in the west it existed as part of the Dutch East Indies (both of which were part of the Allies). Japan invaded in 1942 and tried to take over the whole island, succeeding in dismantling the Dutch presence there, but failed at the end of the war in 1945.
-Mongolia: One of the earliest Soviet puppet regimes, it remained a communist state from the 1920s right up until 1989.
-Manchuria: This region was known as "Manchukuo" from 1931-1945, during which time it was a puppet state of Imperial Japan.
-Korea: Was part of the Japanese Empire from 1910-1945.
-Burma: Was under British rule until 1943, when the Japanese took over. It returned to being a British-owned territory at the end of the war.
-French Indochina: A subject of Vichy France, and with Japanese support, they managed to ward off a Thai invasion.
-Philippines: Was under the jurisdiction of the U.S. from 1935-1946, but Japanese forces tried to wrestle it out of American hands during the war. They had success initially in 1942, but they didn't last long.

I don't think any of them were neutral. Maybe Mongolia but I'm not sure if they were a sovereign country then. I know Manchuria was part of China. I think all of them had some part in it considering a lot of them were colonies some of the allied countries. Axis = Austria, Bulgaria. Allies= Greece, Albania, Syria, Iraq, Palestine, Libya, Tunisia, Algeria, New Guineau, Korea, Burma, French Indochina, and the Philippines.
I don't know about Transjoban. I would also like to correct my first answer, I believe Turkey was neutral.
