Sleep Apnea, I recently went for a Sleep Study and found out i have Sleep Apnea?

I should be receiving the Sleep Apnea Machine and Mask soon. But my question is anyone who has been through a sleep study and received the machine for sleeping better. Did you find that this machine and mask really help you get better quality sleep? Do you find other ways to sleep better like excersise or yoga Organic foods water? Thanks any experiences and help and advice. The Beatles

Unfortunately alternative therapies like yoga etc won't solve the problem of sleep apnoea, which can be dangerous if untreated. When you go into deep sleep everything relaxes, which is when the obstructions occur caused by large tongue, large tonsils, large uvula, receding chin, thick neck etc. CPAP is the gold standard for treating sleep apnoea, but mandibular devices have been proven to help with milder cases of sleep apnoea. If you need help in coping with CPAP join my Sleep Apnoea Forum at http://hope2sleepguide.co.uk/ where there are lots of other CPAP users on hand to help and support.
Good luck...

Nothing beats the cpap. It forces air to keep your passages open. Otherwise when you sleep they fall closed. The side effects of sleep apnea include headaches, fatigue, heart enlargement, pulmonary hypertension, and death. Not necessarily in that order.
