i use to have my ears stretched to an inch and a half and when i was at 9/16-3/4 i wore silicone plugs. i took my plugs out awhile back and im stretching again and when i put the silicone plugs in theyre fine for a couple days, they dont hurt at all and theyre not sore, but come around the 3rd day they start getting scabby and sore. have i grown a reaction to silicone?

It's entirely possible. I bought a pair of wood plugs once, and my ears were at a healthy 1 1/2 inches at the time, and these plugs, within a few hours of wearing, caused my lobes to swell up massively and scab. It took about a week to recover. I've since stretched up to 2 1/4 inches (57mm) and haven't had that problem since (I've avoided zebrawood plugs).
I love wearing silicone tunnels myself, and wear a pair of 2 inch ones to be every night, as they allow my ears to relax (since they're smaller) and not get pinched during sleep (which can happen with huge stretched earlobes). Maybe there's another type of silicone that you're not allergic to?
BTW, there's nothing inherently wrong with stretching with silicone, but the danger is that some people try to stretch too much too fast with it. Silicone rubber is used as implants in the body, so it is a safe material!

You left out a key piece of information, how long have you had your ears stretched to your current size? Don't tell me you used silicone to stretch bad idea my friend. It is possible to get a reaction out of no where, I'm the same way with certain types of glass that I used to be fine with. It may also be the quality of the jewelry (I have also had this issue). Just take the jewelry out that's all I can tell you.

More than likely yes. I wasn't allergic to the black nitrile o rings for a while and then out of the blue I was all of the sudden allergic to them a few days after a stretch. Mine will start swelling up and leaking lymph fluid, it's like clear and sticky and turns yellow when it hardens and gets crusty and it dries the **** out of my ears and makes them itch! But yes, you sound like you're probably allergic to silicone now...
