legal help.wills and inheritance?

I writing a book and I am toying with a couple of ideas. What happens if someone dies and the only person to inherit is incapacitate in some way (say like in a coma), who would handle the dead persons will and possessions until that person could inherit. I am looking for technical terms.

An incapacitated person can still inherit. The property would go to the person in a coma, and would be controlled by whomever is the legal guardian of the person in a coma. The legal guardian is a type of fiduciary, controlling the property (among other things) of the incapacitated person for their benefit.

Depending on the jurisdiction, the legal guardian may formally be called a custodian, curator or conservator.
