How much power should governors have?

Some people argue that governors should be given maximum power to complete their jobs, but some people claim that the ideal system would limit gubernatorial power so no governor would be too powerful.How much power should the governor have?

In my AP high school class, we are leading a discussion about this on Friday. Any insight/examples would be a big help, seeing as this is a topic I've never explored before and, quite frankly, don't know much about.

not Much. However I do beleive in State having more power than Federal. Technically there was never supposed to be a federal government according to the constitution or amendments or articles of conferederation...cant remember. but there needs to be somewhat of an influence of fed gov. But State gov. is the way to go. Because if you dont like the rules in one state...well go find a state with rules you like
