I'm ordering registration numbers for my JK to tribute the heritage. I have read that at the end of the registration if there was an "S" it meant the Jeep was suppressed to carry a radio. What does that mean? I have seen Jeeps with it, but in my research I found a list of codes such as "I" stands for infantry in the registration. Did jeeps have anything other than the S behind their registration?

I think that you are mixing your information.
The Registration Number painted on the side of the hood only had an 'S' after the number if the vehicle had been suppressed for mounting a radio. Simplistically, being suppressed meant the vehicle had been modified to disallow any electrical or magnetic interference with any radio system mounted in the truck. Most MBs and GPWs did not have the 'S'.
The only other letter in a Registration number was a 'W' at the beginning, but that was discontinued early in the war.
There was no 'I' or any other letter officially in the Registration Number
Bumper numbers on the other hand had all sorts of variations, to include the "I" you mention for Infantry.
