R&S, do you really not know what a homophone is?

hom·o·phone/ˈhɒməˌfoʊn, ˈhoʊmə-/ noun
1. Phonetics . a word pronounced the same as another but differing in meaning, whether spelled the same way or not, as heir and air.
2. a written element that represents the same spoken unit as another, as ks, a homophone of x in English.

This thread made me sad.

Johnno - It pertains to the population of Religions and Spirituality, so, it actually does. It wouldn't be right to goto somewhere else in Society and Culture and ask about people in R&S, now would it?

I honestly did not know. English is not my first language. I thought Homophones was a spelling mistake of Homophobe. Which would make more sense in a Religion and Spirituality forum.
Since bad spelling has little place as a religious subject, I have no opinion on the matter save to say some people are critical of ANYTHING.......

The answers were amusing, but give him a break. The n is right next to the b on the keyboard.

The English language is a harsh mistress, but we love her so.

Apparently one of us doesn't know what a homophone is even when it is explained to him/her.
