My youtube video got taken down, I have a copyright strike. Should I delete the video taken down?

I heard that some copyright holders may retract themselves , should I remove the video ? Will my copyright strike expire anyway if I don't remove the dead video from my video manager? help!

I'm pretty sure that if you want to the strike to disappear that you need to take the video down. I don't think copyrights expire.
