I'm 38 weeks 3 days pregnant with my second child.
At my last doctor's visit on Thursday I was 1 1/2 centimeters dilated and the baby had dropped.
Last night I started getting intense pains in my back and lower abdomen area (I've never gotten these before) but they went away.
Today I'm starting to get them again.
Does it mean labor could be near?
I'm also having very loose bowel movements.

Sounds like You are going to have Your Baby very soon with everything Your Experiencing!!!!!!! I had the same Pains with My Son, they came but then went away, but they soon came Back and He was born the Next Day, Good Luck!!!!!!! :)

Sounds like it to me! When the pains get really bad go.to the hospital.congrats

It's hard to say. You could be experiencing contractions but they can just go away. Or come and go and nothing happens.
