So who has actually seen a candidate for their local elections?
I've only recieved a leaflet and a knock on my door from one (Cons)... and he lives in the same village as me and therefore has no excuse not to leaflet and/or canvas at the doorstep.
Just wondering... because it's been a very quiet local election... and seeing as this is the important 'mid term' local elections... it is rather odd.

I do.
Whenever they're having town hall meetings, I like to go out and meet them and hear what they've been doing for their constituents.
I am a candidate in the County Council elections, I have 11,000 visits to make and am ashamed to say that I have not managed to knock every single door.
I have not sent leaflets, I think there is enough in the media for people to understand more than can be put on a little piece of paper, and I do not see why I should spend tax payers money in this way.
I have however been walking all around my area with rosette in full view and answering as many questions as have been put.
I am against the Conservatives where I live and they are a very well oiled machine and have not once but twice put very elaborate and no doubt costly leaflets through my door.
None of which mentioned bedroom tax, benefit cuts, slashing the military etc
