Does being induced hurt?

I'm scheduled to be induced tomorrow morning.
Does it hurt HORRIBLY or is it something handleable?

I had posted this question earlier but because everybody thought I was completely healthy and had no reason to be induced, all I got was snarky answers.

I do have problems such as low oxygen, ketones, etc. So please don't judge and just answer the question.
Thank you.

I NEVER said I was being induced BECAUSE I was dilated or anything of that nature.
And if you've ever seen my earlier questions around, you would know I do have health problems.
Just because I didn't give you my WHOLE backround and health history, doesn't mean it's not there.
I was just adding those details of being dilated because people say it hurts MORE when you aren't dilated at ALL.
But thanks again for ANOTHER snarky answer.

When you enter labor naturally, your body produces endorphins at the same time it is ramping up the labor, so you have your own natural painkillers on board. When you are induced, the labor gets really cooking before the endorphin system has a chance to catch up, and the contractions can be pretty strong and intense from the get-go. If it is possible, ask them to start very, very slowly and ease the level up. This may help in terms of handling the discomfort if you are trying to go non-medicated. Of course many women have gone through inductions, and some have done it without medication, so it depends on what you are able or willing to put up with. It always helps to be relaxed and comfortable, so try to have some familiar objects that will be soothing for you, and try to relax into the labor as much as possible. If you feel anxious and scared you will tend to tighten up, and that makes things worse no matter how labor is started. Try to breathe into it and remind yourself that your body is designed to give birth. Good luck.

You didn't get snarky answers, you gave the reason for induction that you were 39 weeks and 3 cm dilated and didn't want to remain pregnant. Now suddenly you have health problems once it was pointed out that you and the doctor were both being utterly irresponsible. God forbid people give honest answers, apparently that's "snarky."

Anywho, yes it hurts. It's forcing your body to do something it's not ready for. It's unnatural chemicals going into your body and forcing contractions. To say it's painful is like saying there's a cup or two of water in the ocean.

eta - we can also see your question history, where you've been asking for days if you're in labor and that you're just so impatient. Not a single question mentions health problems.

Hey, but don't judge us based on our answers. (I figure if you can give orders, so can we.)

edited for additional information - You're quite welcome.

both my pregnancy's were induced so I have no idea how it compares to labour without induction, the induction itself does not hurt, when they break your waters it is uncomfortable but not painful, if they use pitocin (syntocinon) then that'll hurt as much as any other drip, as for the actual labour, yeah it hurts, it always hurts, I found it manageable and was able to give birth both times without pain relief, good luck!
