I'm a bit stunned, I tipped the upset just to gain the point, but I was not really sure the Dockers would win it.
Pies hit the front there in the 4th, I thought game over. But the griity Dockers swamped them from there.
So how did anyone else see the game?

when the pies took the lead i thought fremantle were done, the third term especially they got slapped pretty hard. but to their credit they managed to pick themselves up from the canvas and get the win.
such a strange game. Was watching the last quarter with a bit of interest.
still don't enjoy watching ross lyon's tactic, it's not as fun as a spectator to watch as say a side like geelong who plays attacking footy. but can still defend ferociously if the situation demands

Heart said Freo, Head said Pies. We saw how Collingwood performed at Perth last year when they got smashed by West Coast over there, and somehow, i just had this feeling they'd perform poor over there again. They certainly did for 2 Quarters. Came back during the 3rd, but certainly didn't last long in the 4th Quarter.
Quandary
I'm annoyed with myself because my gut feel was that the Dockers would win that one but I talked myself out of it with tipping - largely on the basis that Fyfe was out and the Pies form seemed to be improving.
However, when I saw the Pies coming back I thought that Freo would fold. My reasoning is that the Lyon game plan requires a lot of energy to keep tackling. Once Freo looked done, I thought they'd stay done!
Thanks Freo - you've made the Pies angry for our game against them next week!

After saying on here for the past 2 months that I don't think the Pies will make the final 8 .... yep, you guessed it .... idiot me tipped them. I reckoned that if anyone could beat the Lyon tactics it was Mick but the Pies just ran out of legs.

Absolutely! Freo have not been known for digging deep when under he pump but they sure did last night and wasn't it great to see, No Sandilands or Pav, might be the win they needed to get back on track.
