How do I tell an employer I only want to work a limited amount of hours due to my demanding major in college?

My dad has been telling me he wants me to learn some responsibility and want me to work. He will only be charging me $100 dollars, so it's not even alot. So I've been applying for a job and got some interviews at places like Starbucks and the movie theatre. My question is: when or how do I tell my boss I only want to work 10-15 hours max? I really want the job, but I don't want to turn him off or lure him away when he sees I only want a limited amount of hours. Thanks. I'm an engineering major so it's pretty time consuming!

Employers understand working around a college schedule. It won't turn them off.

sure and that they are in a position to even have necessary over the years or make you are available early or shorten your lunch to a million/2 an hour or swap your days off or the different form of issues b/c they're the employers and you are the worker and in todays monetary device in case you do not opt to do some thing they choose you to do they are in a position to truly hearth you and discover somebody who will. In additon maximum states are at will employment states meaning till you belong to a union then they are in a position to fireside you on the drop of a hat, without reason and are not required to tell you why.

Tell them you are a Eng. student, and you are only looking for part-time.  This way you are being honest, and it will help you find a balancing work and school schedule.
