Pumpkinseed fish are a very aggressive fish. In my personal experiences, these fish are extremely aggressive and lose about 75% of their natural color. The fish will strive in your aquarium if the proper food is provided (worms, baby fish, and sometimes frozen foods) Most of these fish will seem to be perfectly fine and then instantly it will die. It seems odd to me by every single pumpkinseed dies at the aquarium age of about 6-8 months. I have had almost 50 and all of them have randomly died. It is your choice and they will do fine for a while and I believe that if you have bullheads in your tank then the other fish will get along just fine.
