i am 16 i have 2 lobe piercings in each ear. The first ones i got when i was a baby but the second piercing i got last year, they didn't hurt at first they just stung but for like a day they kinda hurt but then after a few days they were okay but they stayed swollen for the first week. So i have an average pain threshold but i guess i have sensitive skin. So I'm thinking of getting a belly piercing done professionally so does it hurt on a scale of 1-10? and swelling if there is any?how do i clean it and care stuff like that ? Any advice, tips? Thankss :)xx

Hey hun! I'm 16 too and I got my belly button pierced about 5 months ago now for my birthday. I've also got three lobe piercings on each ear - so I was in a similar situation to you. Honestly, it's a really easy piercing, for me it even hurt less than my ears :L I know they don't hurt either really, but like my belly button didn't sting or anything. It's probably like a 2/3 pain wise. I know everyone's different but honestly it takes a couple of seconds it's so easy, it's definitely worth it, as they look gorgeous! My piercer also used freeze spray to numb it slightly - that will help too! There isn't really any swelling it does take a while to heal fully, mine has only really just healed now which is about 5 months. It may get sore and be slightly red for a while - which is totally natural! Just try to stop it from getting knocked or caught by clothes. Your piercer will tell you how to clean it, but usually you just have to use warm salt water with a cotton bud around the piercing. You should definitely get it done!
Hi, I got my belly pierced in January and was so scared, when I got it done it wasn't as bad as I thought it would be because I made myself think it was going to be so bad. The clamp thing just pinches your belly which isn't too painful and then when the needle goes through it stings which hurts quite a bit but is over in seconds and as long as you've got someones hand to squeeze its fine and then after that for a day or too after its just quite sore when you bend down etc, make sure you clean it with hot salt water twice a day for about 2 weeks. Make sure you get it pierced with a ring and then change it to a bar after a month, I haven't had any problems with mine except if you use claire's belly bars as they are cheap and not good for your piercing and they will make it swell so make sure you get good quality belly bars, I spend £8 on one belly bar, and although you could get 5 for £8 in claires or somewhere they really aren't comfortable and the colour fades easily. Don't be too scared because the pain only hurts for a few seconds and once its done it is so relieving! hope this helps! x
