God was speaking to his son, Jesus Christ. Read the word; let the Word be your interpreter and you will get it right, every time.

John 1, there was a man, sent from God, whose name was John. (the baptist). He was not that LIGHT, but was sent to bear witness of that LIGHT.

That LIGHT was the truth; the teachings which Jesus taught us. the WORD OF GOD.

Jesus is not the word. He taught us the Word. That word is the LIGHT. It means, the TRUTH; LIFE GIVING TRUTH; VERSUS DARKNESS, WHICH IS ...ERROR or the false teachings of MAN.

saying Jesus was an angel, is a good example of this DARKNESS.
Saying Jesus is an incarnate god, is the biggest of this darkness of lies. this is the basis of all other lies or darkness.

Jesus is God's only begotten Son, meaning spiritually begotten, is the only true foundation of LIGHT OR LIFE.

This is what Genesis one is about...the natural life of Jesus Christ, his earthly body, was this...without form and void.. read Isa 52 first... it takes revelation from God to get the truth of God's word.
