When they put big business ahead of the American people they have basically spit on the US.
"Government of the people, by the people, for the people, shall not perish from the Earth." - Abraham Lincoln
Is now "Government of big business, by big business, for big business, shall ruin the US."

It's the job of senators to vote on bills. Clearly, the majority of Senators felt that the bill deserves support. Not necessarily because they liked it, but because it makes sense at this point.
They understand that it beats doing nothing and letting the illegal immigrants (all of whom are already here for year and already working!) pay taxes instead of getting paid under the table. If only 8 million illegal immigrants pay $1,000 taxes for the next 10 years, which is what they need to do if they want to apply for permanent residency, we will get $80,000,000,000 more tax revenue, instead of spending $1,500 times 11 million = $1,265,000,000,000,000 in deportations.
More importantly, the bill will finally assure that before anything happens, the border is secured, a tracking system for visitors is in place, and eVerify has become mandatory. Everything that we failed to do in 1986 needs to be done before anybody can apply for anything. As a Senator, I would have voted for the bill as well, and I'm anti-amnesty myself. Sometimes you have to give something in order to get something, and if we can get border security and eVerify for giving some illegal aliens a path to residency, I'm okay with that. It's called politics.

None of the above.
Instead, commit to spending an hour each day explaining to an unemployed person looking for work how the bill is going to help that person find one.

They done their job. If you don't like how they do their job, vote in the next elections for your senator.
In a democracy you are not the sole voice that counts. Everybodies voice should count.
