Evaluate the exponential expression. 4^3 * 4^9

A department store is having a clearance sale. The price on a television is reduced by 21%. That sale price is then reduced by another 21%. If x is the television's original price, the sale price can be represented by (x - 0.21x) - 0.21(x - 0.21x). With these two reductions, at what percentage of the original price is the television being sold? Use the factored, simplified form of the expression to answer the question.


Multiply or divide as indicated.
(9x^2+58x-35)/(7x-35)*(x2-5x)/(81x^2-25)÷(5x+35)/(3x^3)

a. rules of powers, a^b x a^c = a^b+c so you have 4^12 there, calculator will give exact answer.

b. hate when they try and force me to use their own equations:p if original price is 100, 21% off means you're at 79, 21% off of 79 is 79% of the cost is .79 x 79 is 62.41, which means you're up to 37.59% off.
if you really wanted to factor their equation you'd be at x(.79) - .21x(.79) = x(.79)(.79)

3) a) 9x^2 +58x -35 =

9x^2 +63x -5x -35

9x ( x+7) -5( x+7)

( 9x-5) ( x+7)

b) 7x -35 = 7 ( x-5)

c) x^2 -5x = x ( x -5)

d)  81x^2 -25 = ( 9x +5) (9x -5)

 Replace 

( 9x-5) ( x+7) x ( x-5) 3x^3
-----------------------------------------
7( x-5) ( 9x+5) ( 9x-5) (5x+33)

3x^4(x+7)
---------------
7(9x+5)(5x+33)    ANSWER
