I'm atheist..or was..I don't know anymore. I denied God's existence for around 10 years. Today I went to the Church but when I was there I felt horrible, like running away. I couldn't even stand coz my leg shaked and when the priest touched my head I felt someday terrible was inside me. While I was listening to him, part of me was telling me to leave the place, what was I doing there? That wasn't my place, I was wasting time, and I shouldnt to him. yet I stayed until the end but feeling some kinda horrible pain inside me. I really want to quit atheism and start believing but part of me tells me not to. I can't believe in God or I feel I shouldn't go to the church anymore. What is this? Is this guilt? :(

Indeed there's something terrible inside you. Inside everyone, in fact. Acknowledging its presence is the first step.
Atheism is the delusion that human beings are self-sufficient, that they can go on through their lives without ever realizing what's wrong with them, without realizing that they all have a purpose in life.
Don't run away. Confront your fears. Defeat your enemy.
She wants you to keep listening to her. She wants you to keep denying God. She wants you to stay living your lie, because she's comfortable with it. She wants you to never question your life. She wants you to keep walking through the easy, wide road. Even though that road leads to your destruction.
I hope that someday you can realize who is your worst enemy. I hope that someday you can feel the embrace of God.
I don't know what is going on with you, and I won't pretend I do.
However, I must say that nobody is ever turned away from God's table.
You stayed away for ten years, but as soon as you come back, it's all good, because the fact is, God would never admit that you were gone. God will not (not usually, anyway) chase after you and drag you back, but there will always be a place for you. You may have done some bad things in your eyes, but that is not an issue for God, who knows you and understands exactly what is going on with you, loves you totally , and is always willing to take you back.
The only way primitive religion exists today is through the child abuse of forcing it into very, very young children but thanks to better education and growing intellects so many teens are able to discover the truth, throw off the indoctrination and step into the real world!
Acceptance of a supernatural claim tends to promote cooperative social relationships. This communication demonstrates a willingness to accept, without skepticism, the influence of the speaker in a way similar to a child's acceptance of the influence of a parent. By encouraging this kind of behavior where the most intense social relationships occur it facilitates the lack of skepticism and deters more open minded thinking.
They are christian, Muslim or the other religions depending where they were born simply because they were indoctrinated by their parents as very young children. They will go on to indoctrinate their own children and those will go on to indoctrinate their grandchildren!
Atheists have the intellect to see through the conditioning and escape into the real world!
Agnostics have the intellect to see through the conditioning but lack the courage to throw of the conditioning entirely.
Sadly Christians, muslims and others are still held firmly prisoner by the self perpetuating brainwashing!
I seem to think that this is Satan telling you that things are all wrong. God obviously helped you to even go to church. I suggest you start reading the New Testament and realize how much God loves you. Read the book of John.
There is an enemy of the soul and he is pretty smart about making it look like your mind is the originator of those negative thoughts about being in church. He knows that the truth can set you free.
Anyway, I want to recommend a church that is strong in plain Bible teaching. Find an independent Baptist church near you and they should be able to help in many ways.
