Do you need a doctorate to become a psychologist?

In Ontario do you need a doctorate/phd or whatever, sorry I'm unfamiliar with the terms, to technically become a psychologist? I know absolutely nothing about it, I'm only 15 but I'm just asking out of curiosity. :) thanks!

psychologist: you have to get PhD< but after finishing bachelor and master degrees of psychology !

Psychiatrist (the one who got the power to prescribe drugs and treating people) : you have to finish 7 years of medical school and studying human body to become physician , and then you have to look for a 5 or 4 years program teaching you how to diagnose and treat mental and psycho disorders.

In Ontario, you need a doctorate to become licensed as a psychologist. Ontario also licenses psychological associates. These are individuals who have master's degrees in psychology. Both psychologists and psychological associates may practise independently in Ontario.
