Au contraire. Based on the questions I see trending, closing Yahoo! Answers might marginally reduce the amount of despairing torment that the internet generates on a daily basis. Besides, there's always Twitter.

Life will go on when Yahoo is gone.  Sad it has to be this way, but someone thinks we need more control over what we say.

It's not ending; just a brief shutdown, and likely, yes.

If someone is that mentally ill, if the closing of yahoo answers would cause them to end their lives, almost anything would. That's really sad.
