If the user whose question you answered allows IM or email, you can contact that person using either of those methods. You'll first have to enable one or both of those options on your own account, though.
If not, and the question has been resolved, you can leave a comment below the resolved question. The asker MIGHT return to the question, see your comment, and respond ... but since no one is notified when a comment is given on a resolved question, most don't ever think to look for them.
