I want to get a new 60" HDTV TV that has built-in WiFi and is 1080p with other good features. But there are many choices out there and it gets confusing. I want a good brand that will last a long time with no troubles. My budget is $900 to $1300. What do you suggest?

Vizio's are un-repairable. Every few months we get jumps in the number of "My Vizio stopped working, can I fix it?"
My advice is you look for a non-smart model (without WiFi) and you add a $99 Roku 3 or WD TV Live box. The bump to a smart model is usually $300+ over the same display without these features. This allows you to buy a 'better' image and use an outboard box that usually has more apps and better support.
Stick with Samsung, Panasonic or even Sharp. Sharp is a less-popular brand but are actually pretty good displays.
Yeah, with a Vizio you get a lot of tv without spending a lot of money. LG is pretty decent also. Personally we have a 65" Samsung and a 40" Sharp. Paid 1300 for the Samsung late last year. It's a 3D smart tv. Haven't had any issues with it.
