It's not a matter of "would" it's a matter of "did" choose a Bravia.... Love it. It's a great television.

As far as a previous poster suggested, we do tend to recommend what we own. But in this case, I've done some homework and am not recommending the Bravia because I own one. I would never own a projection TV. They are pure junk.

    Boy that's a TOUGH question......

You notice everyone says NICE things about the BRAVIA?

You also notice that everyone says "Buy this! It's BETTER!" ??

WELL, that's because they own one.....

I could tell you about my Hitachi 51F59 1080i PTV for a mere $800 that will be just as good as the $2500 Bravia......but I won't.

    Ooops! ;-)

Ok, I'm going to be real....

AS LONG as you buy a Well known Brand Name TV set, you'll be happy with it.....stay away from the Chinese Unknown brands.

Now, when it comes down to Sony, Panasonic, Mitsubishi, Toshiba, Hitachi, Samsung, LG/Zenith (am I forgetting any?) YOU WON'T be disappointed.....

With that said, 1080P really does shine, because the TV has TRUE 1080 display....1080 x 1920 pixels.

Most LCDs and DLPs built before this year only had a 720 line display....

So 1080P is the BEST in the DLP/LCD/Plasma units......

BUT.....CRT Projection TV sets have been TRUE 1080 for years.

With that said.....I LIKE SONY BRAVIAs too...I haven't seen failures in them and the PICTURE! Wow! Of course, I like SONY and their company....

Source(s): 24 years servicing TV sets....... The MOST IMPORTANT piece of information on any TV is the NATIVE DISPLAY RESOLUTION......that's the resolution you ACTUALLY see with your Eyes......and you WANT 1080, not 720.

Sony Bravia is the one I'd pick.. largest size that's avaiable. Reason being.. We've been researching rear projections and have narrowed it down to Sony 60" XBR due to picture-picture-picture. I believe the Bravia is Sony's flagship LCD.

go for the bravia...its surely better than samsung bourduex(dunno the spelling)

sony's taken their time to come out with their LCD tv's..they're most definitely better...

Neither. Buy a Front Projector like the Panasonic AX100U.

Screen size of 70 - 200" of High Definition Bliss............

I picked an Aiwa because it was hundreds of dollars less expensive than anything else available at the time. It works very well, but the instruction manual sucks.
