Took 2 classes over summer changed major now...?
They are telling me that the classes (Which I passed) will not count toward my major. So now IM fearing I wasted my parents money and my time taking these classes. So IM so confused

Typically you will still receive credit towards overall required credits to graduate. For instance, a typical major/program at a school will consist of 30-50 credit hours. However, to graduate you might be required to take 20+ credits of co-required classes (such as Chemistry for people that are majoring in Biology), as well as other required, irrelevant classes (if it's a liberal arts college) or elective classes in order to have a robust transcript before graduating (120+ credit hours). These classes will probably count toward elective or co-requisite credit of some sort.
