I'm scared to be in a relationship with an older guy because I'm scared of what society will think?

I'm 18 he's 25.
I like him alot. But I just won't let myself commit to this relationship and its only because of the age/what other think. This is a huge problem and I hate myself for thinking like this all the time. What do I do?
