Checked luggage with Delta?

I plan to check our luggage when we fly Delta. Can I put a small padlock lock on so the bags are extra secure?

Both suitcases are outfitted with the lock that the authorities have a key to unlock themselves. Would that be enough?

You have to use the TSA approved locks only - that would be the ones you seem to have. If you put an extra lock on it, security will cut it off.

I would not because if your bag is selected by the TSA for additional inspection, they will break off the padlock. I suggest you do not put any valuables in the checked bags and keep them with you the entire time.

Can Checked Baggage Be Locked

B-Dee, I would not recommend it. If the bags are pulled for a search, they are not going to bother with locks, they cut them off. There is nothing you can do or day about it.

Yes you can if the locks are "TSA" approved.

Having said that, there is nothing that says the TSA can't still cut your lock off.
