Is there a lot to do in downtown disney?

Is downtown disney something to plan spending a day or half a day in or is it something that you can do in a few hours? From what I can see it looks like we can shop eat dinner a do a few activities all in one evening.

I have never spent more then a few hours. However, you could spend a lot of time if you want. There is a movie theatre, bowling alley and Disney Quest. You can easily spend the entire day at Disney Quest if your really a huge video game person.

Other then those places with actives its all basically just shops and restaurants. Its really nothing more then a very nice outdoor mall.

Depending on what activities you do it could take a few hours or half a day.
There is DisneyQuest which is a multi-floor arcade- this can take 2 or 3 hours.
There is Splitsville which is a bowling alley- this can also take 2 hours or more.
Also La Nouba (the cirque du soleil show) is AMAZING and will likely take around 2 hours.
This doesn't even include looking through all the wonderful shops and stopping to eat at some of the great restaurants.

If you are just planning to shop and eat and look around for a while, allow for about 4 hours.

It depends on how much you want to do. There's a lot to do, sure. But you might not want to do everything there. We usually spend an evening there - we eat, shop a little, maybe play at Disney Quest. I personally wouldn't imagine spending a whole day there, or even really a half a day. I'd rather be in the parks. But that's just me - it might be your thing.

If you don't go to a movie, do Disney Quest, or bowl, then it is a place for a couple of hours.

You hit the leggo store, then the Disney store, eat something, walk around, and leave.

One thing. Parking there is a bi-atch.

Not a whole day. With eating dinner there I would plan on 4 hours.

Night time is great there. the lights are amazing. but it is much more crowded at night. If you are going to do some serious shopping, go during the day
