What is the little cylindrical electronic part next to the coil on a 1993 Ford Aerostar?

my van lost spark so I got a new coil and ignition control module but I see right by the coil there is a small part that looks all corroded and suspect it may be part of the problem! my first thought would be ballast resistor but I ran searches and nothing comes up so evidently my van does not use one, so here I am asking what is that thing ? it has 2 small wires running to it and appears to have started out being silver in color if that helps.

Thanks Jake I suspected that but those usually have only a single wire attached

Its a radio interference capacitor, it helps to keep the radio playing clear by helping block coil flyback which will make channels come in weird. Its sort of like the condenser on old points distributors but just for RFI. If the cap has failed it could short the system and make your van not run, try unplugging it.
I cant say I've ever seen one with two wires before but I have messed with Ford ignition of that era alot to know that this is most likely what your talking about.
