Because we do not hold our presidents responsible for their actions. That's why Bush got away with doing nothing when told the US had just been attacked, invading a country under false pretenses, and that's why Obama get away with bombing civilians and exploiting the patriot act further to spy in on all Americans.

Americans are fat lazy and unaware. Most aren't politically active and the ones that are, sadly are generally misinformed morons. The general mentality is of that a worker bee, too busy to care about anything outside their own little "lives." This whole mentality is strongly encouraged by our culture or rather the lack there of.

The lack of awareness couples with the system of checks and balances that are supposed to hold our government accountable completely breaking down, and the flood of money into politics to form a system in which they can get away with just about anything, and can make a hefty profit if they vote the right way. Which is usually the wrong way for the American people.

He hasn't committed treason. He has participated in the violation of the highest laws of the land, our Bill of Rights, but no more than most other presidents and other officials. We have allowed them to get away with it so there is no consistent reason we would not allow him.

Any specific treason you are referring to or perhaps just treason in general?

Sad fact is the Constitution does not itself create the offense of treason and as we always here around this forum.....if it isn't in the almighty US Constitution then it doesn't exist.
